Tournament Format
This tournament aims for a maximum of 16 teams. It will be a double-elimination tournament with most rounds being BO1 except for Semi-Final and the Final of the winners bracket as well as the Final of the losers bracket being played in a BO3 format. If there will be 8 or fewer teams then the format of the tournament will be changed to a Round Robin (each team plays every other team once) with a separate Final. The team that takes 3rd place during the Round Robin stage will receive an award for 3rd place, and the two top teams will play the final in a BO3 format. All standard tournament rules apply (read here https://forum.faforever.com/topic/269/tournament-code-of-conduct). Settings: Full-share enabled, Unit cap - 1500, draws are replayed, games are ranked, no faction veto is used

These rules apply to both tournaments.

Any player can take part in both tournaments if his team is rated!

Map vetoing rules for BO3 format:
First the higher seed team picks a map to veto, then lower seed, higher again, etc. Until there are 9 maps left.
The higher seed team chooses the map for game 1.
The lower seed team chooses the map for game 2.
If after playing 2 games the score is 1-1, there will be another round of vetoing.
Each team again gets another 3 vetoes and you will start vetoing from the remaining 7 maps until only 1 is left. This time the lower seed will start vetoing.
You will play the final game of the BO3 on this map.

Please write in the comments below this post why you love and play FAF. And also express your words of support to the administration and developers. We may disagree with some decisions or balance changes. . But right now our goal is to save our game.

P.s.: I don't understand anything about development and programming. But if you need a certain amount of monthly donations to solve the problem, write to me in the discord. Формат турнира:
Турнир рассчитан на 16 участников и будет состоять из 2-ух этапов.
Первый этап - групповая стадия. 4 группы по 4 игрока играют по принципу "каждый с каждым" в формате БО3 (до 2 побед)
Второй этап - плей-офф на 8 участников (1 и 2 место каждой группы). 1/4 стадия - игры в формате БО3. 1/2 стадия - игры в формате БО5 (до 3 побед). Финал в формате БО7 (до 4 побед), матч за третье место - БО5

• Для распределения по группам 4 игрока с наивысшим рейтингом будут выбирать себе соперников в формате "змейки" (https://forum.faforever.com/topic/9030/39.000-no-mapgen-tournament-1х1/39)
• В случае равенства очков в группе преимущество будет иметь игрок, одержавший победу в личной встрече. Если у 3-ех игроков равнество очков, то между ними будет сыгран тай-брейк ( по 1 игре каждый с каждым)
• Вето фракций будет применяться только со стадии 1/2. По принципу: каждый может забанить 1 фракцию своему оппоненту.
• Вето карт будет применяться только со стадии плей офф (подробности смотреть в "Список карт")
• Опоздание на 15 минут и более - дисквалификация.
• Ничья - переигровка на этой же карте
• Дисконнект в течении первых 3-ех минут игры - переигровка, дисконнект после 3-ех минут игры на усмотрение директора турнира.

Групповой этап. Карты играются в указанном порядке в соответсвии с раундом (смотреть на Challonge). Формат матчей БО3.

Плей-офф.
Правила вето карт:

• На протяжении всей стадии плей-офф будет применяться вето карт
• У каждого игрока есть возможность исключить по **1 карте на стадии Раунд 1 (см. Challonge); по **2 карты на стадии Полуфинал; по **3 карты на стадии Финал и Матч за 3-е место
• Игроки банят карты по очереди
• Первым банит карту игрок с большим рейтингом 1х1 (цифры указаны рядом с никнеймом на Challonge), после игрок с меньшим рейтингом.
• Затем игроки кидают /roll 1d20 в чате турнира в дискорде. (см. инструкцию https://forum.faforever.com/topic/9030/39.000-no-mapgen-tournament-1х1/44)
• Игрок с большим выпавшим значением первый выбирает карту для игры, далее игрок с меньшим значением и далее в таком же порядке. (При равенстве чисел выпавших после /roll, игроки кидают /roll по новой)
  
  Правила вето фракций:
• Вето фракций начинает применяться только со стадии Полуфинала
• Игроки кидают /roll 1d20 в чате турнира в дискорде. Игрок с наибольшим выпавшим значением первый банит фракцию противнику, затем его оппонент (игроки могут забанить друг другу одинаковые фракции). Такой порядок сохраняется до конца матча

Принцип отбора на турнира (смотреть дисклеймейкер):
В турнире могут принять участие игроки из стран, имеющих ограничения на получения призов от ФАФ, а также другие русскоязычные игроки, у которых есть возможность получить перевод с российской карты.
12 игроков с наивысшим 1х1 рейтингом (по состоянию на 20.04.2025) могут принять участие в турнире без отбора. Оставшиеся 4 места будут разыграны в отборочном турнире 10 или 11 мая, голосование в выбором наиболее удобной даты отборочного турнира будет проведено 2-4 мая. По итогам голосования датой проведения отборочного турнира выбрано 10 мая

Tournament Format
It will be a 4v4 tournament with captains. The top 8 players with the highest ratings signed up become captains. And take turns recruiting a team (the player with the lowest rating from among the captains chooses first)

This tournament aims for a maximum of 8 teams. To determine which team picks the slots first, the captains do !roll in aeolus. Highest roll picks side and slots first. This will be a double elimination tournament, all rounds are BO1, except for the top bracket semifinals and finals they will be BO3. If there are less than 8 teams, then a Robin round will be held between 5 teams (each team plays every other team once). Hello everyone For many, many years now, the 2k ladder scene has been practically dead. Everyone I asked gives one reason - there are few opponents. You have to make arrangements in advance to play, and it's not that interesting.

But many 2k players still want to play! Not all of them have retired yet, like the legendary Zock or Petric.

And players with lower ratings want to see more 2k level replays to learn!

Tournaments with cash prizes are good, but they require you to play for many hours and give you a lot of restrictions.

My suggestion. Once every 2 weeks, I will do a survey in Google forms, in which 2k players will choose convenient dates and times for their games.

And then I will publish dates and times comfortable for everyone. I will not specify the nicknames of the players, only the number of those who want to play on a particular day/time.

Please write if you would be interested in such events. No prizes, no rules, just the desire to press the 1x1 button and play the best RTS!

This tournament will be played with the ALLFactionsFixed mod enabled ( you need to turn on prebuild units for this mod to work )
Attention! This mod gives you 4 commanders of all factions on the spawn instead of 1. Nothing more!

I am against reducing ladder pool even on low ratings. And here's why

1. When I was in the training team, many players with low ratings whom I trained (up to 1000) complained about the boring, small map pool. (This was at a time when it had fewer maps than it does now and most of them are 5x5). We have a lot of players with low ratings who play 50-100 games per month and even more. They won't be interested in playing so many games on the same maps.

2. A variety of maps teach us different gameplay, which is what helps us increase our skill. For example, playing on Daroza gave me an understanding of how to play on maps with 200k+ reclaim. Playing Seraphim Glaciers learn me how to build a lot of transporters, play with a combination of navy and air, etc . I would never play better if I played 3 of the same maps 20 times a month.

3. Ladderplay should not be built around memorizing BO. When I watch 1x1 replays, I often see bad BO even from 2k players, simply because they haven't played for a long time or got something wrong. But due to the good reaction to their mistakes, they correct the situation.

4. There is no universal BO that will work in every game. In my understanding, to increase your 1x1 game level, you need:

• be able to react quickly to non-standard actions of the opponent
• be able to quickly analyze the map on which you are playing (not to do BO, with a plan for each engineer for 10 minutes, but to see on the map the key points for which you need to fight, understand where you need to make a drop and how much energy you will need based on the number of mass extractors and reclaim)
• know the specifics of the factions and be able to use them (if you don't play very often, I advise you to play only for 1 faction)
• understand how the economy works
• understand exactly which units and buildings you need to win, don't waste a mass on what you don't need.

And to improve these skills, you just need to play more and analyze your games, ideally with a trainer who can also spot something that you don't see. Even a perfectly memorized BO Tagada won't help you if you don't understand what to do next. You may be able to beat your opponent's rating on this score and even score a +100 rating. But then you'll start losing anyway, because you don't understand other aspects.

What solution do I see? It would be great if someone with a high rating would do a brief review of the maps on the day of the release of the new map pool. He would explain the key points for attack and defense on the map, where it is better for the ACU to go, and tell the strengths of the factions for a particular map. 2-3 minutes is enough for each map.

Tournament Format
The tournament is for 8 teams. If there are more signing up teams, a bracket for 16 teams will be used. The first round will be BO1 (for 16 team) and then BO3. The rating at the time of signup of the player will be used and checked for any significant drops. Each player must have at least 10 TMM games and 200 total to qualify to enter the event.

Map vetoing rules:
First the higher seed team picks a map to veto, then lower seed, higher again, etc. Until there are 9 maps left.
The higher seed team chooses the map for game 1.
The lower seed team chooses the map for game 2.
If after playing 2 games the score is 1-1, there will be another round of vetoing.
Each team again gets another 3 vetoes and you will start vetoing from the remaining 7 maps until only 1 is left. This time the lower seed will start vetoing.

Tournament Format:
The tournament is for 16 participants and will have 2 stages.
The first stage is the group stage. 4 groups of 4 players play on the basis of the principle ‘each with each other’ in BO3 format/
Second stage is play-off for 8 participants (1st and 2nd place of each group). 1/4 stage - games in BO3 format. Semi-final - games in BO5 format. Final in BO7 format, match for third place - BO5.

• The 4 highest ranked players will choose their opponents in a ‘snake’ format to be divided into groups
• In case of a score equality in the group, the player who wins in a personal meeting will have the advantage. If 3 players have equal points, a tie-break will be played between them (1 game each against each other).
• Veto factions will be applied only from the semi-final stage. On the principle: everyone can ban 1 faction to his opponent.
• Map veto will be applied from the playoff stage onwards (see Map List for details).
• Late for 15 minutes or more - disqualification.

Map Veto Rules:

• Faction veto will apply throughout the playoff stage

Tournament Format:
The tournament will be held in the FFA format between 6 teams of 2 players each. You can register as a team or solo and we will pick you a teammate from other registered ones. There are no rating limits per team or faction vetoes in the tournament.

The tournament is divided into 3 leagues so that everyone can play (with a sufficient number of registered players)
Absolute League - top 6 teams by total rating (considered the highest of all ratings on October 29)
League B - the second 6 teams by total rating (considered the highest of all ratings on October 29)
League C – the third 6 teams by total rating (considered the highest of all ratings on October 29)
The rules and maps are the same for all leagues.

A total of 5 games with different formats will be played (Classic FFA, Hard FFA, Battle royale, etc.) To win the tournament, the team will need to score the most points.
What you can get points for:
• For the place taken at the end of the game (victory in the game - 6 points, second place in the game - 5 points, third place in the game - 4 points, etc. ... last place in the game - 1 point)
• For the first kill of in the game - 2 points (in Hard FFA mode, it is forbidden to use Ctrl+K to kill other commanders in transport for the first 3 minutes of the game)
If the points are equal, the victory will go to the team that took the 1st place in the game more often. In case of equality, the next indicator is how many 2nd places were occupied by the team, etc. until the winner is determined.
For League B and C to take place, at least 4 teams are required. If there are 5 or 4 teams instead of 6, the tournament format will be slightly changed (see maps).

TD will personally create hosts to verify that the settings are correct. In this regard, the B League will start games 15 minutes later than the Absolute League. There will be a 10-minute break after each game. Also, players can take a long break for 30 minutes by common decision.

Desync in the first 3 minutes is a replay. The remaining cases are at TD's discretion. If one of the players in the team cannot continue the game, he can be replaced by any player whose rating does not exceed the rating of the eliminated player. If both players from the same team cannot continue playing, the team is eliminated from the tournament and all remaining games will be played in the HARD FFA format so that no one has an advantage due to the slot on the map.
