Greatly appreciated the inventiveness of 4DC and DMS (holograms, shields, gc unit thrower, phasing, antistun etc...) . Still play with most of it in my homebrew compilation mod. The old design proposed new models and new shapes and I'll rather have them even with all their bad textures and bad lights than the new design which just feels bland and boring. The new design is paradoxically not an improvement to the visuals of the game.
What can I say, I understand your motives but the old design still looks way better than the new one even with stretched textures, bad ambient lightning etc... . And I agree with Angelofd347h, the new factories look unfinished. Get rid of a panel to make them different is just a cheap solution. In the old HQ factories at least there was an effort made at redesign and create a new model.

@jip You "prefer moving forward" and it is fine by me. Even if I do like the actual HQ models I'm not opposed to replace them with something better, graphically, gamewise but also visually. The people behind the Engie mod made the effort to create true HQ models visually striking and that you could clearly identify. The changes you are proposing are bland, half-baked and not an improvement visually speaking. They don't bring anything to the game visually on the contrary. HQ should look like HQ, the old ones did, whatever their graphical imperfections, yours don't. Replace the actual HQ models with new true HQ models and keep the original game factory models for the support factories. You are doing a fantastic job on FAF and I do support your work, the direction you have taken FAF and the changes made so far and I thank you for that. This needed to be said.

tested the unit but doesn't seem to do anything to shields. No faster regeneration when they are hit.
I like old models better too. New ones are not doing it. It is a downgrade in terms of visuals not an improvement.
The "new" cybran air support factories just look plain ugly. I won't call cutting part of the original air factories model a "new design". Looks rather like a half-baked piece of work. If you have to replace HQ factories (I personally don't see the need too) make new models, distinguishable and grandiose, they are HQ after all.

I tested the shaman without any other mods activated on my retail version of the game and on FAF. I switched the shields off and on and compared those within the range to those autside. I also made some enemy AI units fire at the shields till depletion.
No effect at all all the shields regenerate at the same speed for me.
I think another tester is needed, this unit doesn't seem to work for me.
A pity I liked the concept and the model.
@saver Hi, I have been playing with your mods, specially the new fatboy. I was wondering, would it be possible to give him back the napalm launcher weapon on his back ? Maybe as an enhancement ? As the model looks weird with the missile launcher on top and no missile weapon whatsoever. Thanks.

The game is not about apm "manual reclaim" but about strategy, building bases and fighting bots and vehicles. Keep area reclaim.

OK I understand. But maybe as an enhancement with adequate costs that would give the Fatboy another wepon option. Otherwise just modify the model and get rid of the napalm turret because just now it looks weird, a weapon turret without any weapon on it.
Also, fantastic job on the Atlantis and very nice model for the Enforcer.

For the last two weeks each time I try to download big mods I get an error: "Connection reset". No problem for maps or small mods though.
SOLVED. It was a problem of VPN.
Could we at least have the Engie mod on the vault for legacy purposes an so the hq models are not lost forever ? AFAIK it isn't. Thanks.
