RE: Awassa Kamikaze as intended?
I havent seen this issue since both crash dmg and ahwassas themselves were nerfed, so for like 2 years.

RE: aeon t3 facs april fools too late?
I just don't understand why we still don't have the right picture; the old aeon facs. They look imo infinitely better than the new one.
Other factions i honestly barely see any difference so without looking at the details its fine. Aeon just looks insanely bad though.

RE: The ReUI Slop department - minigames and other fun stuff
FAF is associated with a USK 12 game, so casino-themed gambling mods may be questionable. The casino mod deserves a discussion regarding whether this type of content should be associated with FAF at all.
Btw both terraria and dst (dont starve together) are PEGI 12 games with over 80 million copies sold and both either have gambling in their base game (dst has a slot machine) or in mods.
Also on official minecraft servers there are gambling elements as well.

RE: The ReUI Slop department - minigames and other fun stuff
What happened to the good old times of MAI in aeolus where half the mods were playing poker for imaginary chatpoints.
Did you know that on faflive during tourney streams lots of people gamble with chatpoints to bet on which player will win the match? Should we disallow that as well?

RE: Sniper bots
They're still insanely good, except that the timeframe in where they are good is smaller now

RE: Research FAF
Is it possible to make the upgrades cost mass/e instead of points?

RE: Rating Decay
Yes but thats only if your skill decayed as well. Id say this is a more balanced solution. The only downside i can think of however is that u win a few games after not having played for a year and u gain a bazillion rating.
Not sure if there is a difference between the gain and loss multipliers. Ill give an update in 2 years when my puzzle rating can be used for testing again kappa

RE: Rating Decay
What i personally like is the way they do it on some chess sites.
I don't know the formula, but the way it works is that for every x months you don't play you gain/lose x more rating per game played, and it depreciates.
For example, I haven't played any puzzles for almost 2 years:

And this happens when i play some puzzles now:

RE: Wasted energy
Literally the opposite of a deeper aspect because it rewards you being inefficient

RE: Features and what not

RE: Rule Changes, Prize Eligibility, Forfeiting and Substitutions
What about the previous 50 times people dropped out of tourneys, are you also gonna take away their avatars retroactively?
I don't care about the avatar at all, but it's just a matter of principle to me. I just think it's super weird that me and yudi get all the flak over something a lot of people have already done previously a lot of times.
Another thing to bring up is that i forfeited 2 maps (1 vs neytron 1 vs wifi) because i hated the maps, and i just accepted the map loss and went on with the tourney (there are no rules against this, just like the later forfeit). Both you and Rhaelya were privy of this info but you didn't bring this up at all in your post.
@hybrid_ said in Rule Changes, Prize Eligibility, Forfeiting and Substitutions:
who weren't interested in the qualifying tournament itself, only aimed to reach the "Top X" position, and didn't care about the rest of the event.
This also completely refutes this part btw, if i only cared to reach a top position why would i forfeit 2 maps earlier in the tourney?
That aside, maybe it's a good rule to have temporary, but at the end of the day it should probably be the qualifier bracket system that should be changed. I don't care about any of the prize pools, i play tourneys for fun. But if i play a qualifier tourney for the sake of qualifying for the main tourney, why is there a need to continue to play multiple matches after qualifying? All RTS games that i follow/have followed end the games the moment the players are qualified.
Another big issue this creates is the one ftx mentions. Will you force a player to play "seriously"? And if so how will you do that? Clearly my game against yudi wasn't a serious one from my POV because again, the outcome of the game has no value to me because i already qualified. Although this one was coincidentally kind of funny in general this isn't something that's watchable for the audience either, they will just devolve into shit games like what has happened many times in the past (again again, because the outcome of the game has no value). This reminds me of 6 years ago when me and blackheart got a ban for not trying hard enough in a tourney. (should i fake trying hard?)

Standing stones in any mappool deserves a dislike!
