FeignedFilms posted on aeolus how to fix:
1, first host a faf develop mod game
2, close that game
3, go to client, top left menu-> show data folder
4, go to [supcom game folder]/gamedata
5, select env.nx5, rename to envnx26
6, rename env.nx2 to env.nx0 or something(orignal thread says delete it)Now you should be able to host ur game - this worked for me why i repost.

Transport dropping units to their death
I played the following game until 26:15-26:30 mins where I picked up, and dropped my com ( and had to tell the transport to do it twice.. almost as an omen), only for my com to explode.

I tried a silly game to see if scus would explode when dropped on seraphim shields; they did not.
When I tried to drop on actual buildings, the transport dropped nearby; not on top of them.

There was a game I played last week where I dropped some t2 tanks (I think) where the same happened(died when dropped).
Has anyone else had this behaviour? If so can you share, so someone could get enough evidence to fix it?

Can any one clarify if this is legal:
player moves commander to cliff edge and slowly builds walls , until the walls knock him into the water.
Is this hacking or legal?+++++

I think ppl need to have incentive for rushing something or doing anything? tml is one of those options...
If you scout, you can be prepared, as long as you choose a normal teching process(unless you are being outplayed)
I'm a casual noob , but also found support tml early is fairly expensive.
Be a shame if tml turned into mercy

Do you think this fits into the remit of such a structure? should ranged tmd be able to stop all projectiles that are sent past them? Or is it up to the player to judge higher arcs and defend like an aeon?
Its not clear that the game has this mechanic and the player needs to pay attention to it.
Range is clearly a thing and is on unit stats on unit stats - seems all ranged tmd have (2-)31 range.

Some analysis and some guides would be the best checkout from this.
There are too many people who dont realise: its not just the other player... its them too ; or who are too ignorant to accept that.
Afterall most dont know how to fix it and are alienated by the concept. That is often the technological customer's world in a nut shell ( and probably why they are so hard to please)

Yea billy is an odd up grade. But I still see a fair amount of use. Admittedly I have avoided using it due to its range. Seen many player have their commander open to attack as he just cannot reach an enemy base to billy it.
Maybe a range upgrade may be in order:
Although, I'm sure the balance people have considered that already - having a stalemate game end because a lazy UEF player just billies everything that is not covered by 2x tmd is silly. I always considered UEF to be THE TURTLE factionParticularity as was mentioned by @TheWheeley it does open a different game option, where tmd positions can be bombed.
Lets just be honest, that is how the Nuke war goes : bomb smd → Nuke!
Additionally Billy would be a hellava final strike after a group of titans or percies run a amok in a stalemate land war - dropping tmd and opening a base up to attack - not unlike the nuke war...
I'm not a Balance chief, but I like billy, and it does offer a threat and twist in some games.

As far as I am aware the campaign doesn't have a scoreboard, it doesn't have it on Steam for sure.

Sorry about this, your right, and I have included this by mistake - I was referring to the scoreboards when you press 'Score' when your game ends. i.e. leads to Scoreboards screen out of the actual game itself - a game Summary screen.

But I did not know campaign never had that scoreboards, so thanks.

You're playing a campaign game with several mods. That is likely the cause why the SMDs failed

Though there is some confusion about the score boards:
I meant the stats thing to do with the end game summary screen. in that techy conference room(Score screen). That data does not match what happened in the game.
[It was mentioned in the post I attached - at least Katharsas seemed to be talking about it. ]
Details:
This game inparticular the 3rd player disappeared and I was made the 3rd player - so that player was not there but took my stats.I have had this in another game - sometimes where most players are not present at all and doesn't reflect what happened in the the game.
No big deal though, the game works fine in most instances! Im just curious I suppose.

@just_norm I read this and it sounds like your referring to the refresh rate of the lobby on the client? If it is , I would just fiddle with filter options to force the client to refresh from your perspective.
I would add that I prefer this lobby behaviour.
@phong Yea i get that. Sounds like sound advice. Although given he says he has a full lobby and the lobby has only 3 (like a historical reference) is it possible he means the above

Was he an observer? As I often have an issue where I cant kick observers. Most of the time, I can un-ready, go observe and kick him. Sometimes even that wont work; but that is a rarety .
Starting with observers for me also gives a likely chance for my game to crash.

Smd(5x) failed to neutralise nuke warhead
Smd sometimes wont work - it ignores threats, only for a nuke to drop and wreck havok. (I'm sure I have seen smd fail to launch in the past)
This example is on campaign where I played the Golden crystals mission with some (good) randoms.
The AI sends the nuke at me at 34 mins in, where I have about 5-6 full smd silos. All of them ignored the payload.
I will add, that we had a dc from a player at the start. I know he was not there, but the game attributed all of my stats to the dcing player - is it possible this had anything to do with this?

I agree here. I'm sort of person who wants privacy, and if I'm on FAF, I don't want steam to show it. As a 4k games player, I don't think there is much of a benefit to show i played the games 10k hours
Sure its good for some, but it would be nice to choose to use it.
