What is the point of the split Aeon T3 art damage?

Hits, hits again where it landed in half a sec. Why? Adds confusion. I don't think there is even an animation effect like the green 1 with T2 art.

Segmenting the damage makes Aeon arty better against shields by delaying their regen.

@taunoob1 By 0,5 seconds?

When a shield is hit - ALL regen stops for 1 second - therefore - if you can maintain a barrage with that time in mind, you can effectively keep the shield from ever recovering.

AFAIK it is not 0.5 sec, it is 0.1 sec.

Because they have slowest fire rate my guess wouldbe that maaaaaaaybe it is done this way so it can damage things under shield if shield goes down after 1rst damage over time pulse.

@zlo Too bad it only works when the hit was close to the ground.

when multiple shields intersect, the T3 round could hit a shield and take it down, then the second pulse has a chance to take down a close secondary shield that is close by. It's not the best, but its great when it works out, because you can drop several crossing shields in one shot, provided they are all weak enough.

@tankenabard Don't shields get full damage if the AOE radius of a hit can reach them even if they are hiding inside/behind another shield?
