Welcome to the second edition of Challengers Cup! This edition will have its rating requirements changed to u6600, with a maximum of 1750 global rating individually.

Format

This tournament will start with a Swiss Stage, with each team playing 3 BO3 matches. Once the Swiss Stage is completed, the top 2 teams will face off in a final (BO5).

Rules

The official FAF Tournament Rules apply.
Some of the most important of these rules are:

Disconnects within 5 minutes may result in a rehost. The Tournament Director has the last say afterwards.
Players will replay the same map if they draw.
If the incorrect map is hosted, the correct map will be hosted and the incorrect map will not count towards the score
Players who do not appear without valid reasoning will be given a warning that may result in being temporarily suspended from tournaments.
If a player does not show up in Round 1, they may be replaced. For all subsequent rounds, it will be treated as a forfeit and they will be eliminated and not replaced.
All participants will be allowed a 15-minute wait at the start of a tournament to show up however after this 15 minute wait the Tournament Direct has the right to disqualify you from the tournament. In the case where you will be late but do intend to arrive you need to message the Tournament Director preferably via Discord to inform them you will be late but will show up. When doing this please provide an approximate time delay until you arrive, it will then be the Tournament Directors decision whether than delay is too long or acceptable. If your team loses a member, you may find a substitution within the rank requirements.
The Tournament Director's decision is final.

Please make sure all lobbies are passworded and inform your opponents the password and casters if applicable.

Specific Tournament Rules

All 4 players on a team must be within a range of a combined global rating of 6600. Exact ratings will be taken.
No player above a global rating of 1750 may participate.

Substitute Rules

A "substitute" is a person who replaces a member of a team participating in a team tournament. The substitute may only replace a single person, and the replaced member is considered withdrawn from the tournament.
A person may only participate as a substitute in case they were/are not already an active participant of the tournament - either organizer, participating player, a substitute, or a replaced player.
The replaced player, relinquishes any and all prize eligibility to the substitute but only once the substitute has won at least 1 series.

What happens on the day of the tournament?

As it might be your first tournament, I think it would be best to guide you through what typically happens on the day of the tournament.

To start, you will need to be able to communicate with the tournament director, the two places you will need to be in are:

The FAF Client chat, which will be #CC2. To access it, go to the chat tab, press the + next to the "aeolus" tab, type CC2 and press enter.
The Challengers Cup II channel in the FAF Discord. To find it, scroll down to the "Tournament Directors" category, and press the tournament page, and find the tournament that says "Challengers Cup II".
This is an especially important part of participating in a tournament, as the tournament director will give you instructions on who you will be playing, any notices and be able to answer any questions you may have.

From here onwards, check the bracket, find your opponent and await approval of the tournament director to start hosting you games.

When hosting the games, please give it the appropriate title, for example, CCII R1 G1 Team_hybrid vs Team_Strydxr. Make sure you double check, hell even triple check that all the settings are correct. If you have played with the wrong settings, you may need to replay the game, even if you have already played it as it will not count towards the match.

After each game, make sure you report the current scoreline to the tournament director.

Signup Information

Signup as teams of 4 or as a free agents.
If a player is seen or deemed to be intentionally dropping rating for the tournament, they will be screened. There may be warnings or potential punishments for screenings.
Free agents are able to message each other to make a team before registration ends, if unable to find a team, the tournament director will decide the free-agent teams.
Team names are allowed as long as they are appropriate and are letters of the English alphabet, numerals, and special symbols: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789_-.!<>()[]{}/&
Any player above a global rating of 1750 may not participate.
Teams must have a maximum combined rating of 6600.
Signups close 1 hour before tournament start.

Team name if you have one already.
All 4 Players FAF usernames and their global rating exactly.
The team "captain" alongside their discord tag, as it will be the player who will interact with the TD the most

In terms of tournament format, it will be a 2 stage tournament. Starting off will be a Swiss Stage, where the top 2 teams will qualify to then play in a grand final which will either be BO3 or BO5. If more teams signup there will be a 3rd place decider too.

Depending on the amount of teams, there is a possibility of having vetoes, BO3 for swiss stage and maybe a BO5 for finals. I will talk to the captains to see what the vibe is for that. If there are any known issues/bugs with any of the maps, please let me know!

A final announcement before the tournament starts tomorrow.

The mappool was changed a little bit after it was posted, there was one broken map which has been swapped out for Huge Open Wonder and I added another to the pool alongside that which is Selkie Isle. This is to allow easier vetos.

In terms of vetoing, we have decided to include it, the system is as follows;

With the vetos, you must !roll in the #ChallengersCupII channel, the winner will pick which order to ban, A or B. Once this has been made known, proceed to your opponent captain's DM and continue the veto there, as shown in the image. If there are any misunderstandings or issues at the time, please let me know so I can help.

As for the tournament format, it will start with a 3-4 round Swiss Stage, the top 2 teams from the Swiss will then proceed to a BO5 grand final.

Grand Final Rescheduled

Hey all, I hope you have enjoyed the tournament so far! Just a quick announcement regarding the grand final, it's going to be rescheduled most likely for next weekend, if not, it will be another date around this time. I will make an announcement once a date has been agreed upon. Just in case you didn't see, the grand final will be between Team Dojo and Team HEL.

There was a tiebreaker that due to issues with challonge we weren't able to show it on the bracket. The match was:
