Format & Limits

Format: Round Robin

Round Robin Format:
In a round robin, every team plays against every other team in the group. No one gets knocked out early, and final standings are based on overall win–loss records. This format is considered one of the fairest because everyone faces the same opponents.

After the round robin ends, the top 2 teams advance to a Grand Final Best-of-3. As a reward for finishing 1st, the top seed starts the final with a 1–0 advantage, meaning they only need one more win to claim the championship, while the 2nd seed must win two straight games.

All placements outside the top two are determined by the final round robin standings.

Captain Pick System: This will be a captain-pick tournament. We will have 6 teams in the upper bracket and a maximum of 6 teams in the lower bracket. Depending on the number of participants, this structure may be adjusted. Captains will be selected, and team drafting will take place one week prior to the tournament. (November 8th, 2025)

Captain picks rules is subject to change

Games will be hosted in a private lobby. TD will give the captains and casters the password for these lobbies once tournament has started.

Max teams: TBD (subject to signups and bracket needs).

Team size: 4 players minimum to start a game. Full teams should be 4–5 (1 substitute allowed on roster).

Check-In, Registration & Substitutes

Check-in opens 1 hour before start and closes 5 minutes before start.
How to check in: Post team name or player names by team captain.
Substitutes: Allowed if registered before the match and announced in chat.. Last-minute emergency subs require TD approval.

The subbed player recieves the rights to ALL prizes if he wins one series (for example one bo3). If he subbed in, but did not win a series, he has no claim to any prizes.

This is only valid if the tourney is held at the officially announced tourney dates. (And NOT if it is moved because of ddos or whatever, in that special case the TD team decides)

Disconnects, Server Issues & Rematches

If a single player disconnects naturally during a game, the team may:
Continue the match if they have ≥ 3 players and accept the result;

If a match is interrupted by server-wide issues (multiple players disconnect or server crash), the match is null and will be replayed.

Reporting Results & Disputes

Result reporting: Winner reports on Setons Clutch discord tournament channel
Disputes: DM the TD immediately with: match ID, time, short description, & evidence (screenshot / VOD). TD decision is final. Appeal window is 30 minutes after TD ruling with new evidence.

The official FAF Tournament Rules apply.

• Some of the most important of these rules are:
• Disconnects within 5 minutes may result in a rehost. The Tournament Director has the last say afterwards.
  Players will replay the same map if they draw.
• If the incorrect map is hosted, the correct map will be hosted and the incorrect map will not count towards the score
• Players who do not appear without valid reasoning will be given a warning that may result in being temporarily suspended from tournaments.
• If a player does not show up in Round 1, they may be replaced. For all subsequent rounds, it will be treated as a forfeit and they will be eliminated and not replaced.
• All participants will be allowed a 15-minute wait at the start of a tournament to show up however after this 15 minute wait the Tournament Direct has the right to disqualify you from the tournament. In the case where you will be late but do intend to arrive you need to message the Tournament Director preferably via Discord to inform them you will be late but will show up. When doing this please provide an approximate time delay until you arrive, it will then be the
• Tournament Directors decision whether than delay is too long or acceptable. If your team loses a member, you may find a substitution within the rank requirements.
• The Tournament Director's decision is final.

Conduct & Fair Play

No cheating, smurfing, match-fixing, or rating manipulation. Offenders will be disqualified and may be banned from future events.

Be respectful. Harassment or hate speech = immediate removal and possible ban.

Streamers must follow community rules & add delay to stream to avoid stream sniping. (minimum 90 second delay)

What's the difference between upper and lower bracket? How will you break ties in case of shared Swiss standings? How initial seeding is determined?

@Sainse You will see what the difference between upper and lower bracket once captains are determined. Ties are broken based off accumulated points earned. Seeding will not have a definite determination as skill and teams vary on the upper bracket as well on the lower bracket. Given the nature of the tournament there are some things that may change.
