RE: Personal/Custom Avatars
Apparently you're not following the ChatGPT trolling on Discord. This was definitely not a compliment.
Now please stop posting on this thread. We now know your opinion, that's enough, leave this thread up for more important updates etc. Thank you.

RE: Personal/Custom Avatars
@reckless_charger locking / restricting a single user on here is enough to keep it more human.

RE: Personal/Custom Avatars
The first two sentences in your first message were good, the rest just drastically feel beyond negative IQ level so I'm not even sure if you wrote it or if you told ChatGPT to write the most troll and Bullshit thing in existence :4head:

RE: Jamming proposals
About jamming:
Once scouted, you can turn it off and on and the signals will appear again. Which is quite useful when playing navy later on with infinite frigs or using t3 airscouts to let your ASF cloud look way bigger than it is.The fact Cybran has stealth isn't really a big factor for playing it. Sure, it's nice to have it on the ACU, but it gets countered by a simple t1 scout-stream (which is ofc an investment, but counters the entire upgrade). So I disagree on that take. Mobile stealth fields are nice to have, but not that common and same as before, scouts rule.
Also implementing a teleportation-mechanic (if I understood your idea correctly) is just installing another RNG-thingi into the game which is definitely not that liked in some scenarios such as frigates or t3 gunships. Cuz "whoops my unit is suddenly 50m closer to the opponent" (or vise versa, spreading the dps apart) definitely has impact. I'm aware you can turn off jamming, but then you loose the advantage of showing bigger balls on the radar.

RE: Username rules updates
@jip said in Username rules updates:
since when is renaming such a vital feature of the FAForever experience that the first comment (with 14 up votes, what (!)) in this topic states that it helps the author decide whether the author wants to stay or leave?
I recommend you checking the Discord, general chat after this rule got announced. This rule is only the last droplet which lead to my response. I'm both tired and sick from the actions and I wasn't happy to be in the community for a while now, yet I stayed with the hope it might change and continued to contribute in several teams and discords. All these nonsense rules simply show me what direction FAF goes towards to, and I do not want to be a part of that if it continues aka. I do not support these changes at all.
Same for other players with things like "Area Reclaim" which causes the current mood, but I will not even start a debate here as you can check Discord again.See these reactions not as a "this rule in specific is trash and it's the cause", see it as a "we are tired of every nonsense change and all of them together lead up to this" (Again, for more details, discord general chat)

RE: Personal/Custom Avatars
@yew The deal is mentioned in this thread and the discord thread which you apparently didn't follow and the fact that you contributed nothing to the FAF community so it's a hard "no" for your custom avatar anyway imho.

RE: Username rules updates
@jip cool that you think checking the name history or posts is too much effort, I think otherwise.
"There are also no 'higher' FAF community members."
A member of the board is pretty much higher in the FAF scene than e.g. a trainer. That's what I was referring to. As in "higher instance".
