      If you already havent, try enforcing windowed mode upon start-up (I cannot remember the command line, Im afraid). This game hates modern full screen.

      Hi,

      I have gone through some changes of late - a new computer and downloaded the latest client. I have noticed that nowadays I crash everytime I exit a game via the "score" (maybe even otherwise, I need to check). But also, I have a new laptop + screen combination that seems to cause problems; I can crash by accidentally switching between monitors and similar. This is a pretty typical message I receive:

      I had a similar issue today. It took me about 20 mins to download the game files and, once finished, I could no longer join any games - I got some java-error. I had to reinstall the client to fix it.

    • New lag behaviour, yay

      Until now the connection to most players has worked fine - good ISP, global coturn server and in Europe, so distance isnt an issue.

      Something new for me started a week ago. The game runs fine for maybe 5 to 10 minutes, until I start seeing occasional issues with everyone connected to me (connectivity screen pops-up and everyone has a countdown for a few seconds). This happens once a minute or so. After a while the whole game becomes jittery. It is like my FPS has gone down to 2 frame per second and essentially the whole game becomes unplayable.

      Sound familiar to anyone?

    • Is it only really me who finds the cybran t2 destroyer op?

      I mean come on - it has the longest range, it can walk on land, it has the highest dps (which is actually really beneficial when dealing with spam), and also you can stealth the thing with a mermaid.

      I expect people will respond with comments like the game is not Dual Gap, make t1 scouts, the other navy tiers balance it out, l2p etc. but be constructive instead.

      This is something that has happened to me quite often (especially playing Aeon and Seraphim). In Seraphims case the planes would not leave the pad automatically, I had to manually choose each plane and tell them to leave.

      In Aeons case (in a game I just played, not sure if this has happened to me before) I was not even able to select the landing pads, the planes landed on the pads, yes, but they would not obey commands.

    • FAF client taking excessive amount of cpu power

      This is something I noticed by chance - it seems when the client is running in the background (maybe even otherwise?) it takes over 50% of the CPU cycles. Windows 11.

      I noticed this when I closed the app but it continued running in the background. The fan on my laptop continued running at high speed until I terminated the program via task manager.

    • RE: Pending Balance Changes Feedback Thread

      This change was done a while back but the Salem seems a bit oppressive with the increased range. With the counter-intelligent boat in the mix the increased range is really beneficial and they can kite you until hell freezes over. And yes, I know about scout planes etc. but they reveal the fleet only for a second before being ´shot down. After that you will just take Salem fire without being able to shoot back.

      In my opinion a balanced approach would be to reduce the range since the stealth can keep you hidden until you are in range.

      This is something I have not seen before. My opponent was "stacking" subs on top of each other and was able to move them as a pile - whats going on here?
