If restarting the PC does not fix it, try closing Discord temporarily, then start FAF.
Edit: Just noticed this is an old version. Redownload FAF and install it again as well, just to be sure.

I would guess that is something to do with discord integration.
Can someone tell if that is possible to disable it from client.prefs file? -
restarted my computer after installing v2025.9.2 ended the discord app through task manager now instead of the client crashing 2 seconds in it gives the prompt to log in but it doesn't let me interact with the window before that window crashes soon after.

Check the windows event log to see the error there. Depending on what it says it might be something I had (for me it was a .Net issue)

@MarredTen19 Ok, you got a different problem than what I had. Based on some quick google searches of those errors I'd try:
- updating drivers / windows
- restart PC and open as little software as possible and see if it can launch'
- disable anti-virus (for a short duration to test) before opening it (and then enable again
)
These seemed the most likely things which could fix this based on what i found online (only checked for like 2-3min)

Alright I've updated everything i can find, windows, drivers, I've tried the anti cheat thing what i have found is that the client only works if i immediately start it after I've started my computer. It even lets me log in and connect to Faf. The only problem is if i leave the client open it will just crash after a while and when i try to open the client again it does what it has been doing since the beginning. the error logs, window logs are all the same since earlier.

@MarredTen19 I dont know how much effort you want to put into this but what you could try is to download the windows-iso of your current system and backup from the iso. (watch out to select the option to keep all files and stuff)
Pretty sure that will fix it, but its a bit of effort
