Mouse flickering in game

Hey all,
I'm having an issue where my mouse is flickering while trying to play. When I move my mouse across the screen it seems like the cursor is only being drawn on the screen maybe 75% of the time which results in the cursor blinking on and off. This makes it hard to track mouse movements and click on units / buildings.
I've noticed that the problem exists in the Steam version of Forged Alliance as well as within FAF. I've tried:

Setting the resolution lower than 1920x1080 (my monitor's resolution)

Trying Windowed mode vs fullscreen

Verifying game files and reinstalling both the game and FAF client

Changing video settings inside the Steam Forged Alliance game.
One interesting thing that I've noticed is that the d3d_windowscursor console command completely fixes the issue in the Steam game. The only issue is that there doesn't seem to be a way to do the console command inside FAF. I've tried opening the Steam game and a FAF game at the same time and doing the command, but it doesn't work.

Ah ok thanks. I was trying to open the console window in the lobby and I never tried it once I was actually in game. I can at least play for now by doing that command at the beginning of the game.
