the first game has 2 mods on for 2x and hives for all with people, the second one was unmodded and just me in sandbox

somewhere in the middle of the game, about 60 nothas total go for one chicken
later in the game at the very end i send 6 and they do ZERO damage.
around 11:30 the nothas got a ton of hits and did nothing then same this at the very end
tried it in a sandbox and still nothing

Just chickens. We thought it was interesting to make the collision box of the Ythotha smaller, so that units can shoot underneath it. See also these changes on Github: https://github.com/FAForever/fa/pull/4084

If you scroll down you'll find this:

            1bcf6aa3-11f0-45d6-9d23-bac872595326-image.png

I tested it with some bombers, but it appears the damage radius of others were a lot smaller. In particular, the Cybran t1 bomber has a tough time hitting the Ythotha too. The idea was to match it with how the Megalith and the Monkeylord have a 'hovering' collision box.

Anyhow, good intentions but it didn't work out that well. We'll fix it with the next balance patch, reverting it back to the old collision box.

Is it possible to use multiple collision boxes on a unit? If so you could add a very low one at the feet.

Ah ok. Then I dont know if it would be worth it. Could produce more bugs like AOE doing double damage by hitting both hitboxes and such.

                    This is fixed with: https://github.com/FAForever/fa/pull/4201

It will be part of the balance patch, that will launch somewhere in September.

I'm afraid the balance patch didn't launch yet, the moment it does then this is fixed.
