Legend of the Stars Qualifier Event
THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO GET INTO THE LEGEND OF THE STARS TOURNAMENT REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY POINTS
The qualifier event for the Legend of the Stars will be held to give a chance for those who could not play throughout the year - or those who did not qualify - entry to the event.
Event registration is open to ALL players, but priority will be given to higher ladder ratings and those currently in position 13-16 for LotS points.
Update: If you are already qualified for seeds #1 thru 12 in the LotS tournament, you cannot enter. There is no reason as the prize is for spots 13-16.

The tournament structure is going to be Double-Elimination with the following:
All rounds are BO1 except:
Semi-Final: BO3
Final Round: BO3
All Loser Bracket Matches are BO1Matchups will be seeded (using ladder rating) to streamline eliminations.
Maps Selection & Faction Veto:
This tournament WILL have **faction veto ** in the semi and final matches.
The event will have a 15 map pool; however, the BO1 rounds will have a map selected by the TD. The BO3 rounds WILL have a map veto.
For the BO1 rounds, a single map will be selected that all players play.
For the BO3 rounds, maps will be decided by the map veto process.Map Veto Process
In order to select the maps played for each BO3, BO5, the two participants in each stage will discuss amongst themselves which maps they would like to veto. Each player will be given the right to 3 vetoes and the bottom player in the bracket will be given the first veto. Each player will also submit vetoes sequentially. Once the list is down to 9 maps, the players will be given the right to pick which of the nine they wish to play. The bottom seed will be given the right to pick the first map and the top seed will pick the second.
In the case of a tie, the players will veto down to a single map with the bottom seed once again having the first veto.

Tie-Breaking Procedures
For the consideration of ties where players either drop from the event, forfeit, etc, the following procedure will be used:

Victory against opponents based on ladder rating: if someone wins matches against tougher opponents they will be placed higher

Legend of the Stars Annual Acquired points: players with more points acquired during the year will be placed higher

Ladder League Points Acquired: players with more points acquired during the year in ladder league months will be placed higher

If any seeded positions are still tied, they will face off in a sudden death match on a map selected by the tournament director

Wait, are you not in top 12 qualified? This is for people who have not already placed.
I suppose I need to write that if someone has clinched seed 1-12 for LotS they are not to play this event? Apologies as I thought it was obvious.

Just FYI, seeds #1-12 for the LotS is set in stone. You need not (and should not) sign up for this event if you are already in:

Under most other tourneys, yeah I get that, but for this I have to rule it out.
