The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!

How to find a user's current name based on an old one?

There were some players I was following for replays but when they changed their name I can't find them any longer. Is there a way to find out their current name?

If you're in discord, you might be able to find a mention of the old name in the #bot-commands channel. If there is one, you will be able to find the user ID and can possibly ask the bot for the current name based on the ID. Can't think of another way that's available to you.

Did you save any of those replays onto your own computer? If so, you can search for that replay using the "Replay ID" field (embedded in the filename). You'll see their new name shown there.
If the replay is from over a year ago, make sure you update the default date range as needed.

Also, if you added them as friends in the client, they'll appear in the list and you can look up their name history.
