connection problems
-
Hello, dear friends! After the recent update, a problem arose - I can't enter the lobby, and if I do enter the lobby, then the connection with all players is lost, except for the host.
There were problems before, but they were solved when I set the location in the client. I'm using Wi-Fi, but the problem is unlikely because of this, because I played about 20 games with it and there were no problems. I've already tried a lot to solve the problem. For example, network settings through applications, FAF client settings, rebooting the computer and router. No result.
Please help me solve the problem. -
Which OS and security software do you have?
To narrow it down, you can try an Ethernet cable, instead of WLAN. Also, check your security software if it blocks anything.

@magge Hello! Thank you very much for your reply!
I have Windows 10, and the standard antivirus is Windows Defender.I have already tried changing the checkboxes in the Windows firewall. Unfortunately, it did not help.
Unfortunately, there is no way to connect to an Ethernet cable, so I play via Wi-Fi.
I think it is important that everything was fine before the update. I played calmly on Wi-Fi, albeit with minor problems, but after I can no longer connect. By the way, now I see on the adapter that out of 8 people, I was able to connect to 2.

Wi-Fi and several P2P connections in Supreme Commander do not mix very well. If the firewall is correct, and you have no possibility to change the network to narrow it down, then I have no other suggestions, unfortunately.

Try a ping network test via cmd.
Just search for cmd in Windows and ping google for 5 minutes:
ping www.google.com -t
Or check it via this page: https://ping.canbeuseful.com/#ping
If there are high pings or timeouts, your general connection is unstable.
If everything is stable, try using a VPN.
Note: In the FaF client, I have had the best results so far when I have selected “US East” as the only one under Preferred Coturns for ICE.

@Sturmgewehr Hello! Thanks for your reply!
I didn't find any problems with ping on this site. It happens that after some time (about 15 seconds) it rises to red by 1-2 scales. It also happens orange, but not often.
I tried iTop VPN, but didn't find any changes. Perhaps it was worth choosing a more premium VPN. -
similar problem after updating the faf client, even via cable
