How to play via corporate proxy server
-
Hi, sometimes I have a chance to play from a corporate office. Unfortunately, I can connect only through our HTTP/SOCKs proxy server. Is there any way to configure proxy server for "faf-client.exe" and "SupremeCommander.exe"?

No.

Harsh

You know what is harsh? Getting fired for playing video games in the corporate network...

To add further context for OP: IT departments typically monitor for VPNs or proxies on employee systems, as these can indicate unauthorized or risky activity. When they check your system and see you were bypassing the company network to play games, there will be serious consequences.
If your company is more 'relaxed' and you are allowed to play in your lunch break, you can ask the IT department to help you out and to be on the safe side to not breach any company policy. Whatever you do on your system, just assume those guys know about everything you do. Everything gets tracked and logged usually.

If this is a simple change I'd really appreciate it, I'm not sure I'd get to play online games on it or not but just for the web downloads for the mods would be nice (the faf-client.exe) or another way over web to install them, I like the ui mods and to play vs AI (some I can anywhere but its rocket science almost say for m28-ai). And really why not for the online games over corporate (my internet connection unless you can do the resume stuff like they mention above isnt that great any way... I seem to do better over a proxy for web browsing so why I do it... but then I'm stuck trying to get it to work without one which is difficult for me and I end up not playing or doing something else instead), I've already tried and ruined some other gamers game because of disconnects I guess it was way back, I'd like to be able to play online but not my main point in asking just the mods at least right now I'd not be good enough anyway)
but (I love to state my opinion and there is enough room in this textbox)... on corporate why not some new-age corporate team-building stuff? games on a corporate network might be a really good idea for a lot of reasons imho.I tried proxifyre just for the faf-client web downloads, but the java code I guess has a hard-coded cert somewhere my proxy breaks (I guess they all would but I'm not sure(?) ) even though it's Windows trusted, and the auth works just fine over proxy of course being browser based. But seriously corporate games doesn't seem like a bad idea to me(?) If they don't like it they probably have plenty of ways to notice and/or stop it why gatekeep possible players where they don't or even encourage?

and wait a minute does faf corporate have a proxy?(?)?)?(?) I'd expect plenty of "bug testing"

nevermind proxifyre works
