As of now player sign ups is officially closed! Players who have signed up and were not chosen, please be reminded that substitutes will be allowed in any situation that hinders a need for replacement for a team or player. Instead, if you just want to reclaim and share it with allies - just write/request a UI mod that you can toggle on/off to start sharing resources automatically (via gifting it programmatically) at a click of a button when your mass reached say 70% of storage. I do not think such a mod is against the rules that only mention auto clickers and reclaim macros. But you can always ask the moderators before trying to implement it.

Wouldnt that ruin the gameplay for other players though? For example early gameplay, if you have that toggle on and your teammate is reclaiming as well but can't spend the mass due to not having power? I know in setons if you get too much mass as an air player, it will ruin your build (quite literally).

Oh I'm aware of that, it will be the backfill incase a team gets eliminated because of a player not showing up. It tends to happen every tourney lol

Captains will be appointed a few days before the tourney in case of last minute changes. On that day I will host a stream and we will have the picks live with a !roll for first round picks.

@pmbmize As discussed before, while the idea sounds fun, I'm not sure if it will be fun for the members participating. Since they have to go through numerous rounds of playing and then to be split up at the end after choosing players. But like all things if the majority want this, then the change can be imposed (idk if they strongly agree with this, that's just me)

@tagada That's a good catch, yes 5 is a definitely a weird number for this tourney, if anything with enough people may just adjust to an even number if not we will switch to swiss. Either way should be fun for everyone.

1. Well considering this is almost an exact copy of last years tournament thread, I would say yes, everyone who read it assumed it was a 4v4 because Setons is traditionally played 4v4 and has been for a decade. You are the only person who pointed it out till now.

2. There are some changes to come as far as the rules. We need the player signups. We will most likely go with captains.

3. This tournament since its yearly is most likely aimed at seasoned players even more if we go the captain route because the captains will choose those who know how to play most likely and possibly this will even out the balance. I can't make captains if I don't know who the captains are kappa.

You are more than welcome to message me on discord, if you have any recommendations.

@insidiousnoob It will be both Doni, I will give reconsideration later, but for now I need a list who's going to play in the tourney to better apply the rules. No point making decisions with only 3 players signed up to play. And no you are banned from the tourney doni (jk). As far as teams I think that's pretty self explanatory, I even put a picture there to mark up the player positions lol but just for you I will write it in the post. Traditional setons is played 4v4.

Tournament Format:

Swiss Tournament 4v4
A Swiss tournament is a competition format commonly used in gaming, where participants do not get eliminated after a single loss. Instead, players are paired in each round based on their current scores, so they compete against opponents with similar performance, making it fair and engaging for all skill levels.
Top 2 teams will fight in last final match for 1st and 2nd place
Entry information:
Please arrive 1 hour - 30 minutes before tournament is hosted for check in.

Allyby:

If player naturally disconnects throughout the game, team will have option to continue. Although Must have 4 players to start game.
If by chance the game disconnects due to server issues, (multiple people) the game or match will be null. In this event a new game will be hosted. In the event the servers go down, the tourney will be postponed to a later date.

Seton's Clutch 4v4
Settings: Balance: Fixed, (Players will not play same slot twice) Full-Share, 1500 max unit
We will have a maximum of 10 team entries

Rules:

• As of now we will have single signups , --> highest rated for each team will be team captains for their respective bracket.
• If player of team or teammate does not show up substitutes will be allowed if available for current team. If in any case the replacement is unable to show or team does not show they will be disqualified.
  Player will not play the same slot twice in a row.
  Players will choose random factions.
  Players will have a predefined team setup upon launching the game. Players will not switch around upon opposing team joining hosted game.
  PLAYERS WILL DM TD PREDEFINED SLOTS PRIOR TO JOINING HOSTING/JOINING LOBBY
  Please note more changes are to follow, those changes will be shown in bold for this thread!
