    • FAF isn't like it used to be.

      The community has no Originality anymore its the same 4 maps over and over and over again. DualGap, Astro Craters, Seton's Clutch, and The Pass. This community died so long ago. FAF is nothing like OG SupCom or FA. Y'all are like cyborgs playing the same maps over and over again. None of you know the true essence of SupCom anymore. It was designed to play Different Maps Different Playgrounds. The Spirit of SupCom is no longer here in this community. SupCom was made for different experiences. Seeing different play styles. It's just not like it used to be in OG or FA. People played all the maps. People played the way they wanted to play. It wasn't "If you don't do this, we lose." Nah. That isn't how SupCom was designed. In my opinion, it was designed for the soul purpose of exploring the unknown and playing how you want to play. The game itself is called Supreme Commander. It was made to see who could come up with their own strategy and become Supreme above all Commanders

      @waffelzNoob If I am not mistaken this guy plays games that have no air in them. I think he is just upset about what people do in said games. I have noticed a lot of games over the years that do the same thing with water and land games. People stacking subs. Thing is that if it is such an issue in those games there are a lot of fixes to that with just land and naval units. For example, the Tempest has splash torpedoes, and its cannon can take out a group of subs with one shot, and it does splash damage so it will take them all out with one shot. Most of the time people are unaware that the Aeon's key units were the Navy. Cybran was Stealth EXPs and Air Units, UEF was their Land advantage for being able to build quick bases with mobile shielded Fatboy and fast produced land units without the assistance of commanders on the front lines. Those are the advantages of every Primary faction from the Vanilla game. The Seraphim are an all-around type of faction. They have good of everything.
      Anyways what i am trying to say is that group subs can be taken out by anything with a splash range of 2 or more. Almost all units that can do splash damage are a 1.5 or higher so there shouldn't be any problem. All T3 mobile arty. All t2 missile launchers. All t2 arty. All t2 mobile missiles, t3 mobile missile for UEF. Megalith cannon Tempest cannon Fatboy cannon. Ythotha Cannon, and Blaster. All T2 Destroyers except Seraphim can hit subs with the blast radius if aiming directly over them (Tested this after recent patch) T2 cruiser of Sera and UEF can destroy all subs with their tacs (Including UEF Atlantis) T3 missile ships Aeon and Sera can hit all subs as well. Grouped subs can be destroyed very easily it just take a few well=placed hits and your fine.
      @zoodoo4u This isn't that hard/ In fact it makes it much easier to kill them all when they are stacked. You have to see things differently. There are counters to basically everything in the game its not a cheat it is the way people play. If there is a problem, find a way to fix it. Try not to make it another bigger problem.
      @deribus @indexlibrorum I hope this helps everyone here see that it is just one strategy and it helps deter their frustrations

      @magge Do the moderators actually do something? Every time I try to report someone it never gets answered. The reason I stopped playing faf for almost six months was because of this Harassment I got last time

      @snoog Nah bro I was playing multiple maps before I left I couldn't stand playing Gap or Astro Anymore it was the same thing over and over again. People harassing me in and out of game was enough I cannot and will not stand for that crap no more

      You won't have to worry about it anymore. The backlash I got the last few days was enough. I deleted FAF as of yesterday. I am tired of the harassment I get both in and out of game

      @thomashiatt totally understand that my friend. Its not like it used to be where people played different maps or play the way they want to play. its basically if don't play a certain way you loose. I have put 2k and 1k players in their place playing my own way many of times and no one ever expects strategies like mine and because of that it throws them off guard

      @deletethis I play this all different maps and I do make map gens sometimes and no one ever joins. and even if i play mapgens its the same strategy of play for every1 no one plays their own way. its the same game play all the time

      Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't played the original FA. In the mission where you get the satellites, aka Novax, Even if you build a novax the nuke defense in QAI's base shoots down your satellites. Most people are unaware of this fact.
      Also, IMO, I think scathis should go back to what it used to be. With FAF being down, I have gone back to playing the Original Games of FA and OG SupCom and it takes some time getting used to it again. Missions are harder than in FAF and Endgame experimentals like Sat Nuke Mavor and Salv take forever to build. Most people who haven't played FA don't know that FAF actually dumbed down the time in which it takes for things to build. For example; nukes take 45 minutes to load. Yes, I said 45 minutes. even with 30 SACU Engineering Suites it takes the 5 minutes to load. Also you don't get the option to make a ras or engineering support com, you have to upgrade each individual support commander manually. Only one upgrade at a time. Support Comms also take 5 minutes to build and have way more health than FAF Support Comms. Max Vet Cloaked Cybran Support Coms have 500 HP shy of 80k HP.
      Shields Don't share Damage. Air wreckage passes through the shields instead of Bouncing off. Time to build things is longer. Strat Bombers 4 minutes for example. Asfs 2 Minutes Battleships 6 minutes. It is a much longer game than faf is. Much more difficult too. Mass Fab t2 is 100 E consumption Mass Fab t3 in campaign is 1k E multiplayer is 3k.
      What I am saying is that if you want a real challenge for a game try the OG and FA SupCom Missions in the actual games. You may find it harder for you to actually Micromanage.

      Lemme explain something for you. there is a counter to "Billy" nuke. Tactical Missile Defense will shoot down the "Billy". Cybran, Seraphim, and UEF are the best counter for it. Aeon tmd cause it to Self-Destruct which in turn cause it to explode. If you are having a hard time with it, you need to learn to build more tmd. 4 shots from tmd will shoot down a billy nuke.
