Format

The tournament is a 4v4, which will be either double elimination, with a best of 3 upper bracket and a best of 1 lower bracket. Or a swiss stage which will lead to a final stage where 4 teams face off in a single elimination bracket. More details will be announced as signups proceed.

1. Disconnects within 5 minutes may result in a rehost. The Tournament Director has the last say afterwards.
2. Players will replay the same map if they draw.
3. If the incorrect map is hosted, the correct map will be hosted and the incorrect map will not count towards the score
4. Players who do not appear without valid reasoning will be given a warning that may result in being temporarily suspended from tournaments.
5. If a player does not show up in Round 1, they may be replaced. For all subsequent rounds, it will be treated as a forfeit and they will be eliminated and not replaced.

All participants will be allowed a 15-minute wait at the start of a tournament to show up however after this 15 minute wait the Tournament Direct has the right to disqualify you from the tournament. In the case where you will be late but do intend to arrive you need to message the Tournament Director preferably via Discord to inform them you will be late but will show up. When doing this please provide an approximate time delay until you arrive, it will then be the Tournament Directors decision whether than delay is too long or acceptable. If your team loses a member, you may find a substitution within the rank requirements.

Specific Tournament Rules

• All 4 players on a team must be within a range of a combined global rating of 6600. Exact ratings as of 26/09 date will be taken.
• No player above a global rating of 1750 may participate.

Substitute Rules

• A "substitute" is a person who replaces a member of a team participating in a team tournament. The substitute may only replace a single person, and the replaced member is considered withdrawn from the tournament.
• A person may only participate as a substitute in case they were/are not already an active participant of the tournament - either organizer, participating player, a substitute, or a replaced player.
• The replaced player, relinquishes any and all prize eligibility to the substitute but only once the substitute has won at least 1 series.

What happens on the day of the tournament?

As it might be your first tournament, I think it would be best to guide you through what typically happens on the day of the tournament.

To start, you will need to be able to communicate with the tournament director, the two places you will need to be in are:

• The Tournament website, open the link and go to the "chat" tab, here you can chat with your opponents and Tournament Director
• The Challengers Cup III channel in the FAF Discord. To find it, scroll down to the "Tournament Directors" category, and press the tournament page, and find the tournament that says "Challengers Cup III".
  This is an especially important part of participating in a tournament, as the tournament director will give you instructions on who you will be playing, any notices and be able to answer any questions you may have.

From here onwards, check the bracket, find your opponent and await approval of the tournament director to start hosting you games.

When hosting the games, please give it the appropriate title, for example, CCIII R1 G1 Team_hybrid vs Team_Strydxr. Make sure you double check, hell even triple check that all the settings are correct. If you have played with the wrong settings, you may need to replay the game, even if you have already played it as it will not count towards the match. After each game, make sure you report the current scoreline to the tournament director.

Signup Information

• Signup as teams of 4 or as a free agents.
• If a player is seen or deemed to be intentionally dropping rating for the tournament, they will be screened. There may be warnings or potential punishments for screenings.
• Free agents are able to message each other to make a team before registration ends, if unable to find a team, the tournament director will decide the free-agent teams.

2026 Fall Invitational Swiss Stage

Hi all, the qualifier has concluded and now we're left with the main part of the tournament.

Some invites were not accepted so we are going to work our way down the 1v1 ladder ratings until we fill the remaining two slots.

Hopefully if the invites are accepted in good time, there might be a big enough window to allow the top 8 seeds to be able to pick their opponent. If there is not, we fill figure out an alternative.

Invites

The invites will be based on the players with the highest amount of LotS points. If a player declines, an invite will be sent to a player next in line. If a player has an equal amount of points with another player, the most recent gain will be prioritised. There are 12 total invites. Format

Open Qualifier

The open qualifier will be a double elimination bracket. The upper bracket will be BO3. However, depending on the amount of signups, the number of BO1s vs BO3s in the upper bracket may be adjusted to ensure a timely tournament. The losers bracket will be BO1.

The seeding will be based on your ladder rating. So for example, the highest rated player will play the lowest rated player in the first round and so on.

Swiss Stage

• The Prelim Stage will be a 16 player Swiss format.
• Players that reach 3 wins advance to Finals.
• Players that reach 3 losses are eliminated.
• All matches are BO1 in this stage
• Rematches are not permitted
• Players will be matched with equal score opponents.

The format may be subject to some small changes.

The Top 8 players will be allowed to pick their opponents for the first round. The message will be sent out once the Qualifier has concluded and must be replied to as soon as possible.

Finals

The finals stage will be a classic single elimination bracket with all matches being BO5 (including 3rd place decider) apart from the Grand Finals which will be BO7.

Good morning commanders, hope you are all well and ready for the Summer Slam! Before the tournament begins this weekend, there is a few important details I need to share with you all.

Teams

Bracket

For this tournament we will be trialing a new tournament website made by @nuggets. This includes things such as an overview, bracket, teams and much more. If you would like to give any feedback for it, please message him on discord.

Faction Selection

Faction picks will be decided by rolling. Highest number wins and gets to lock in a player from their team with a faction on a specific slot. The opposing team then must lock in a player from their team with a faction on the mirrored slot. Then the opposing team will pick the slot to lock in with a subsequent player and faction. This process will continue until all 8 players and factions are locked in for the lobby.

Who plays North/South will also be decided by the roll winner.

This process must be done every single game.

@Skrat Because there has been a lot of avatars given out for Seton's tournaments already and I don't want to decrease the value in them. I will be keeping Seton's avatars for the King of Seton's Tournament only.

The captains will be confirmed once signups close.

The pick order will be:

Captains Draft

This tournament will have a captains draft, in which the 8 highest rated players will choose 3 players to participate on their team. If you have been selected as a captain, please make sure we are able to reach out to you on discord.

The draft will take place on the 11th of July, 16 UTC onwards. It will take place in the #SetonsSummerSlam2 channel on the Official FAF Discord in the Tournaments section.

I would prefer to do it in one go and if captains would like to arrange a call date so that we could potentially stream the draft that would be great, I will contact all of the captains to see if this is possible once they have been selected.

Captains may pick any player, and no player is able to reject being drafted. If the player does not wish to play with who they have been drafted with, they will withdraw from the tournament.

The draft format will be determined once the signups have closed.

A simple double elimination bracket, with all the games being BO1 until the Grand Final.
