      Yup, that was my mistake. But like everyone else, who also have many accounts, I too have LOTS of userID /password pairs

      I used to manage a 300+ workstation and servers running mission-critical apps for a very large financial institution. From home, to get into mainframes in data centers in another state remotely I had to login to 9 different pc/servers/firewalls: passwords to 1) login to employer supplied pc at home 2) remote to my local pc from home, 3) password for pc, 4) local network 5) local servers, 6) local legacy app 7) firewall to data center out-of-state, 8.) network. 9) app in data center. And, each one had to be changed exactly every 30 days, requiring 12 unique characters with words not in the dictionary and you can't use the last 10 passwords!! It was a nightmare! I did this one or twice weekly for troubleshooting for 10+ years.

      Unfortunately, this was and is unavoidable and is the world we live in but still, I haven't given up trying to simplify everything as much as possible which is why I prefer to have just one FAForever account.

      I changed my password after coming across this post today. An interesting post from "Jip". This was probably why the account was banned.

      @magge Thank you for your reply. I tried another browser as you suggested but it didn't help. I still can't log in. The message I'm getting is: "Email is already registered".

      I've exchanged email with Discord's tech support. Their last message to me yesterday is embedded below.

      I can't find the contact info for the admin for the FAForever Discord server. Do you (or anyone) have this info?

      @strydxr thank you for the reply. I visited the link you provided and read the entire post. It suggested one option which is to use a vpn and I do. The IP address changes each time I turn on my computer.

      The post in the link also mentioned something about having a minimum age requirement which is unlikely that FAForever would have one, and besides, I'm also a senior citizen and retired.

      Additionally, I also tried logging in by using "incognito" mode (I use Microsoft's Edge browser) but I get the same error.

      One suggestion was to use another email and create another account, but I'd rather not have two accounts in Discord since I'm trying to simplify everything and prefer not to have yet another login/password pair.

      Hopefully, you have other suggestions. I've been using Supreme Commander since almost forever (when it first came out) as a replacement for the Red Alert Yuri's Revenge game. I'm looking forward to Sanctuary, and I'm currently playing Warno and re-visitng FAF again. I still like FAF. It's still the only true RTS especially with the M28 AI in my opinion. If only FAF didn't shoot at solid objects, FAF would be close to perfect.

      Hi @strydxr, I don't understand. Yes, I know the link DOES expire. I used it quickly but I still keep getting the same error message.

      Also, your statement about banning this guy, might that be in reference to me?? If it's in reference to me, I don't understand. Why would you like me banned? I haven't done or said anything wrong. Kindly clarify. Thank you.

      For what it's worth: I'm a member in good standing at the Sanctuary and The LOUD Project channels too. I've given no one a reason to complain. In fact, I've made donations so they know my real name.

      Thats not at all the default values.
      Default is NOT run as administrator (if the exe is configured to run as admin, the client cannot start it!) and NO compatibility mode. I don't know what program has made these changes to your exe or maybe it was yourself, but that is most likely the problem!

      Wow, I disabled Windows compatibility and run as Administrator properties and that solved the problem. No more crashing at launch.

      I did not make any changes to these properties after the FAF client was installed.

      All problem issues in legacy games and new ones I've played require adjusting compatibility and running as Administrator to solve a problem. It is interesting that FAF is different in that sense. In fact, the solution is the exact opposite compared to others.

      I don't have the anti-virus activated. ..\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe 'Properties' is set to the default values after installing the FAF client which is to Run as Administrator and in Windows' 'Vista' compatibility mode. I've also uninstalled the client, re-booted the PC, manually deleted the \ProgramData\FAForever folder and re-installed using the downloaded 'dfc_windows-x64_1_4_7.exe' program.

      I've also changed my username (dadmin) permissions to read and write for the C:\ProgramData\FAForever folder.

      What is strange is FAF runs ok offline. So it's got to be a problem with the 1.4.7 client right? But how does one resolve the permissions error and resolve the issue?

      Update (new info): Launching ForgedAlliance.exe works fine. I'm able to play, but only offline. The game still crashes when launching "Downlord's FAF Client". Here is the log:

      @sheikah I uninstalled the game, manually deleted the FAF folder in ProgramData, re-installed the latest client downloaded today, logged in, selected Play, Custom Games, Create Game, and I'm getting the same error.
