We need to think about a few things regarding the AEON faction.
How do I know this? Because in 90% of games, no one is using this faction anymore. Everyone is focusing solely on Sera, UEF, and Cybran.
The AEONs have been BANISHED to the limbo.
The ACU isn't offensive enough compared to other factions. It's weak because it doesn't gain the T2 regen bonus.
As a result, the time you can rely on weapon upgrades is short because soon enough, by the 11-15 minute mark in team games, a T3 bomber shows up, and your ACU's HP hasn't even fully recovered yet.
It's difficult to gain veterancy stars with AEON.
Land Units:
T1: Made of paper.
T2: Decent.
T3: Complete garbage. Despite high damage, their extremely low HP and short range don't do justice to a T3 unit. They get easily wiped out by any group of other T3s, even when outnumbering the enemy.
Naval Units:
Another complete disaster. The projectiles are slow, and the reload time is painfully long. It's way too easy to dodge nearly all shots from AEON T2 ships.
Air T3:
All ASF units are balanced across factions, but the AEON gunship, which should provide air supremacy, is a joke.
It's slow, and practically every group of enemies focuses on the same target within the field of vision.
Suggestions:
We urgently need to think of ways to make AEON more competitive, maybe by increasing the BUILD RATE when you choose the DOUBLE GUN upgrade for the ACU.
Even though it still wouldn't be able to build T2 units, its support with a higher BUILD RATE could be an advantage—something slightly better than T2 but weaker than T3.
AEON PDs should have a larger area of effect since their reload times are so slow.
AEON Naval: For heaven's sake, if you're going to leave the reload time so high, at least make the projectile deal area damage, and increase its speed slightly.
T3 Gunships: Instead of firing two missiles simultaneously, how about doubling the FIRERATE and firing one missile at a time? This would prevent the WASTE of ammunition and allow them to focus on different targets.
I would like these suggestions to be considered because the reality is that nobody wants to play AEON in team games anymore, and the reason is obvious—they've become an obsolete faction for combat. This is mainly because they can't have T2 upgrades on their combat ACU, they're useless in terms of frontline construction power, and they take an eternity to regenerate their HP.
In conclusion... Something must be done.
