Another day of the game being unplayable

3 games in a row even filtering out Russians now game will not even start. Loads, pauses at the start and says someone is disconnected eventually.

That sounds really frustrating. Please, enable the experimental debugger, wait until it happens again and share the last game and client log with us.

Game played until I lost my commander. I sent a message and my entire internet collapsed for about 6 minutes.
