      For the past week, the game keeps crashing on me pretty early on into the game. i only have Discord and the client running at the time that I play. 16gb memory. No Mods.

      EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at address 0x00915402

        With the last update to the client, there should be an "info popup" about the "warning: SND: XACT3DApply failed." and "info: Minimized true" when it is in the log.

        Was there no such info-text for you?

        Solutions to your issue would be, to make the game window mode, and fix the xact issue.

          @magge Hi thanks for the follow up. yes, i originally did get crash reports for sound errors, but the only time I lost sound was when the game would crash. I don't use a sound card. I uninstalled my sound drivers and reinstalled them, then the crash logs started saying exception access violation. when i play the game, i use headphones. do i need to change my headphone properties to cd quality instead?

          update: i change my headphones to cd quality and ran a dummy game just to see if it would still crash and this time, it did not. So when I get a chance again, i'll play another game with my friends. Thanks again for your help.

            Could be possible, but also could be related to a lot of different things. Everything that is known how to fix the issue is written in the mentioned xact-thread.
