Game starts freezing , then crashes.

It happens every time i try to play SC FAF , after certain amount of time it lags a bit , then crashes with this error:

game log showed that your game crashed after ~10 minutes.
It also showed a possible cause:
warning: SND: Error playing cue 1 on bank 5 [music] XACT: Invalid arg
Looks like you have not set your Soundcard to stereo only, or you have enabled a soundenhancement or
you are using a hadset with virtual sourround sound or something like that.
Supreme Commander only works with a simple stereo setting.Please follow this guide to fix your sound:

This isn't quite true. I use it with surround sound enabled every time I play. The issue mainly affects Realtek audio if I recall correctly. I use a Sound Blaster AE-7 and never had this crash.
I know that the sound problem is very real but I also like everyone to know it only affects certain sound devices rather than it being a game-wide flaw.
