games stuck on connecting screen

every time I want to start a game, It gets stuck at the loading screen after everyone gets ready and launches. the general scheme looks something like this:
- get into lobby
- start game
- loading as usual
- a half-second to full-second freeze
- the tip on the bottom bar stops changing and the loading does not progress further
I have uninstalled McAfee, turned IPv6 off, and am running out of ideas.
please help -

Seems you have quite a few active mods - To further narrow it down, test if everything works fine without any mods; afterwards you have to find which mod or combination of mods is to blame for the crash.

Tested it without any mods and a vanilla map, still break (helped get did of a different problem tho)

Finally fixed it, the problem was with the map being outdated or otherwise broken. just had to play on a vanilla map.
