I can't link my account to steam

I have both the game and privacy settings are all public. Why isn't it allowing me to link them then?

Do you own the game "Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance" or do you own a different game?
If you own "Supreme Commander 2" or "Supreme Commander" that doesn't work.
You don't have to buy a bundle. The only game you need is "Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance"

As has been said before it is not enought, your GAME LIST should be public so this linking thing can make sure that you own the game. after linking you can hide game list again. if nothing works may try to relogin on FAF website maybe...
If you actually have done all correctly you can provide screenshots of your privacy settigs and SC:FA in your game library?

i went to steam and searched for all people with this nickname and could not find anyone that has supreme commander forged alliance.can you also screenshot that you own the game?

@komboyombo how did you do that? maybe I have to do the same... Idk how tho, I only just bought the game to play FAF and can't link my accounts for some reason, getting the same error message.
