The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!
There is a mod in the vault called "ChatSilencer"
It stops you from seeing anyone else's chat.
It does not silence pings or map markers. (In the past I was working on doing that, but I gave up and I don't feel like finishing the program, so for now it only silences chat.)
