      Sounds like a rule that came into effect for pro-level players in 1v1 play. I have played 5,000 games in the last 6 years and had no clue this was even possible. Never even come across it until I saw this post. I think I've come across every other situation where someone could exploit and get banned but this one is a new one and I stand by what I said earlier that it's pretty weak lol.

      What's next we're not allowed to build t1pd in our base because a mazercom won't be able to telly in there lol.

      I can already imagine all the arguments against it in my head (from1.8k+ players only lol) but it all comes back to me thinking it's a cheap elementary rule that shouldn't be in the game but again that's not what the thread is about so I'll stop being off topic. I'm a nobody anyways and my opinion doesn't matter and I'm okay with that 😉

      I will however finally read all the bannable offenses because heaven forbid I get banned because I was building a factory in my base for some reason at the same time someone was trying to drop

      So lets make one thing clear. I dont really care if anything changes with the novax (or any other unit for that matter)

      I was trying to fall asleep last night and was thinking about FAF because I am a complete loser with no life.

      For some reason a thought entered my brain and the half asleep sad version of myself thought it was a good idea so I'm going to present it here because I have seen so many tears about the Novax since I have been playing FAF

      The common argument seems to be that the Novax is unbalanced and has no counter.

      My suggestion is simple. Give the satellites the capability to target each other.

      Novax is suppose to be a defensive unit (based on its name) and this change I believe would allow it to function more like that.

      I believe this change would force players into winning an advantage before they can punish their opponent.

      Land, Sea, Air all require an advantage to be won as battles must be fought and won before you can start to punish your opponent so this would mean that you would have to win a Novax battle in order to be able to abuse them over enemy battle space.

      If you make a Novax you would have to decide if sending it to your opponents base is the right move knowing that you can be shot down having to re build a satellite in the ground station.

      If you were under siege by say 4-5 Novax then you could start making your own under shield cover and send them over to enemy battlespace (knowing you couldn't keep them in your base as they'd be shot down being outnumbered)

      Now the enemy has to decide to send their satellites back to their base to engage the sats you are sending or not.

      If this is considered than I would recommend that sats are not able to fire or be targeted until they reach altitude so that they cant be insta killed as they ascend to orbit from the ground station.

      Pretty much any in game scenario I can think of where Novax are used seems to have a simple resolution if Novax can target each other and the more I think of it the more intriguing the scenarios seem to be with this adjustment.

      If this is a bad ide it wont hurt my feelings. So many times ideas seem so great until they are subjected to peer review so thats the point here.

      I think that it is insane to have to shared armies/union control as a ranked condition in its current form and cant see why it would be allowed under any form at all. I played a game recently where a teammate kept microing my commander towards the water as I am trying to leave the water due to 2k hp and torp bombers attacking me. I actually had to pause the game to tell whoever it is to stop. It felt like he was trying to make sure I died so he could get my base. Was completely insane. Same game a teammate takes a group of engines that I really needed and puts them in a transport (he canceled my factory que so he could make a transport) Losing my build que without warning and taking a huge amount of build power I was staging for my own purposes. Its all counter to what a ranked game should be imo.

      In that game I was doing just fine (ended up getting blamed for winning the game) so I really didnt need any help or whatever the hell that was suppose to be. Even in a scenario where I am holding the team back due to my bad apm why does my team get the advantage of a teammate picking up my slack? Imagine my opponent who is battling hard against me and is gaining the upper hand just to suddenly feel me have advanced apm and push back the advantage making moves that I had no business doing.

      I think there are situations where this could be abused as well.

      If I am a 1.3k playing in a 3v3 and my 2 teammate's are 2k while our opponents have three 1.7k-1.8k players my opponent should be able to push me as maybe their only way to gain an advantage that game.....but they cant push me because the 2k players on my team are micoing all my stuff and negating the advantage my opponent should have.

      IMO the settings (aside from maps and veto's and such obviously) the pros use in the LOTS tourney and the like should be the ranked settings. There shouldn't be all of these other crazy modes that make for a completely different match and essential completely different FAF experience.

      I am ok with Nomads being ranked but it wasn't that long ago that xtreme wars was a ranked game mode and I was happy to see when that got removed from the client. So too should this setting and those like it.

      At the very least it should be unranked until it goes through the arduous process similar to the decapitation work that Phong and others are engaged in.

      I like to go through the replay vault and pick replays where everyone is in a certain range but this doesn't allow for that. I don't typically watch a replay with a whole bunch of pro players that have the odd Joe in there I'd rather watch a fully pro match instead for study purposes.

      There's an old saying in the trades, "if it ain't broke don't fix it" there seems to be too much of that with moderators in my opinion.

      @Nuggets I don't see how it would be any less dumb to build than an Eye. Novax without It's attack function is still very op in my opinion. An indestructible scout that can just hang out over a front line with an attacking Army or full Intel on your opponent's base forever. It's an insanely strong asset even without the laser.

      @FtXCommando You are probably right when you consider it from a pro level only perspective but the real world I speak of most players do not care about actual cost and being hyper efficient, they care about value and what they get out of something.

      As I have said a forum post (at least not this one) is no place to decide on the actual stats this will have. I'm trying to achieve high level (in business high level means low detail) discussions to try and affect change but since we are talking about it.

      Referring to the novax as t4 air is extremely inaccurate IMO and shouldn't be compared to the other t4 air units.

      An eye is fairly cheap but requires alot of micro to be effective and has a small intel radius.
      Soothsayer is very effective with its large intel radius but is static and easy to kill.
      A novax is invincible and can move. If that isnt the t4 version of the previous 2 than I dont know what is.

      If we are going to compare the novax to the soothsayer and eye lets not try to also call it an air unit.
