I think it can be done but it will be very difficult
Good luck with your project
No I going to tell him unethical ways of hooking up python to supcom

You can write a sim mod that will get units and issue orders. It won't be in python - it will be in LUA. And it will only work for one match, I mean you will have to actually view the replay to get data out of that replay.
To speed up the 200 year thing you could use cloud hosted instances. Sounds like a lot of effort.
I think you would end up with two mods, one to run on old replays to extract data. The other 'ai' mod would use your extracted data and actually make decisions. That ai mod would have to run on all machines I guess
Something like that. I reckon you could get it working but it wouldn't be easy
Thanks for doing wwpc! See you around
First I think you need to work our what the point of the page is. Is it to convert rts fans to supcom? Or is it to convert steam fa players to faf?
After that pick text that helps with that goal. What's the goal
You have to have ur army selected to see the countdown. If cheats were enabled they can ctrlk your acu
The most important thing to show is unpassable cliffs. Height is just a bonus. Water is important too. If you have all that, contour lines are just noise.
Check out the map of Loki here. It's so clear what is going on. https://forums.faforever.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7573
It would be nice if comparison picks were taken on same map.
Mapgen 100% and yes the comparison is unfair
We wonder this too - why specifically such a huge jump in a short amount of time?
We could try and go to them and just ask nicely, saying it would be good publicity and citing examples of other publishers giving up the code and how good that turned out. We could point out that FA monthly players are actually growing right now and this might lead to more sales or more interest for an acquisition of the ip for them. I know people have sent emails in the past but you could do it a bit nicer with fancy slides and charts etc. A nice business pitch.
I don't think it's likely to work, but no harm in trying. And we should make the results public so we don't have to do this every 4 years.
What game are you working on
