@supernova16 What it looks like is its been 9-12 months of the SSDD approach. Why not try rolling back to a build from 2 years ago. Why not try scrapping the connection system taht crutches some players who cant see each other?

Oh really its a skill issue when
1/5 of games lag so bad they end up with drops causing a desynch condition
1/4 of games are DOA because someone disconnects on launch...
1/2 of games are lagging so bad that someone drops in the first 10 minutes wrecking the experience for all or worse, refuses to leave when identified as the lagger and can't be voted out and the game drags on until they end up desynching.
75% of games end up being a fucking RE for one of these reasons and there doesn't appear to be jack shit being done or able to be done because this community isn't innovating to fix it and we're all told if you wanna fix it, fix it yourself.
Def skill issue.

So we moved servers. Problem still persists. And evidently now we know for sure we are being DDOSed? But the issue that remains is there is no money in the commnity to swap to another server host and/or nobody in the community has the technical know how of how to do it? Is that correct?
Here is a complex solution. BROADCAST THIS IN THE LOGIN/LOBBYMENU EVERYTIME PLAYERS LOG IN.
Start leveraging the potential strength of those people in the community that might be able to fix this and we don't even know who they are or the resources they have because nobody communicates nothing to the general masses. There is all these non-essential fluffy stories about maps and balance and mercy patching non-essential to the game playing process bs. Give me a break.
Right now this isn't an in your face message it's a buried one in these forums. I only took enough time to bother to look this up after bitching about it after experiencing it 10X in a row, meanwhile most people dont visit for GAF about the forums because long ago it became a caste system of nobody's opinion matters but those long old timers who been here since Z himself and the high council of players believe their balance is better than everybody elses. It's why we rip thorough T2 on air directly into ASFS and then almost every game ends in a slug fest of T4 units instead of gradually gets to that point. Half the games on a 20x20 involve the construction of of that oracle thing with unlmited mass and energy instead of only like 2% because of thousands of "balance" patches making it far more relevant than the meme that it is. Just like this community which is a meme of itself.
Here is the bottom fucking line. What is being done to address the problem right now IS NOT WORKING. I do not think it is unreasonable to pose the question as to how long we are going to continue to do what is not working instead of trying new things to find a solution that will work. If the problem is java, port the code to something else. If nobody knows how much that will cost, RFQ it to some vendors. Get some quotes, then when you have a ball park cost, come back to the community and pass the fucking hat and lets get it done. Maybe It's the American in me but honestly just accepting that it is what it is is HORSECOCK.
And just how many more MONTHS of enduring DDOS attacks are you going to keep paying a host to not deal with this issue? Move the servers to another host that is capable of dealing with this.
Every Game has disconnects. Nothing is stable at all this needs to be the top priority. Either roll the bitch back to when this wasn't an issue or put all resources into fixing this to make the games stable. Nothing else matters.
