Personally, I have been looking for a simple solution for managing engineers for a long time. The main thing is to assign the E key to select the T3 engineer located next to the cursor. And press SHIFT E so that you can add the next T3 next to the highlighted ones.
And I still haven't found how to select units similar to those selected ONLY on the screen (and not on the entire map).
There are a couple more disturbing issues that I haven't been able to solve with the available mods. I'm even thinking of creating a request to solve this problem. Not being able to program is baffling.
