For me, it is because I hate little maps that are too intense since minute 1.
I prefer bigger maps, don't want to be rushed in min 3 and lost my hydro and basically the game

Just tried ladder to remember why I don't play ladder.
Get rushed with scouts before I can even build a simple tank, then try to catch the scouts with my scouts, knowing that the match is already lost.
Totally unenjoyable, too little maps, too many open areas with no clear way to defend, no strategy, can't even build an army.
I will say that for me is totally a map issue
@rezy-noob well they kill the engineers, now I expanded less, too much micro to escort the rest of the engineers, they tanks arrive first, the map is too open and impossible to defend only with the acu, and it's basically lost.

How about adding a Map Size preference ladder like:
I had the idea because I want to play ladder, but I didn't feel like playing a small map. (because being low rank, my map pool is always little maps )
It has to be a multiselect (like factions).
It chooses the preference if all players want the same.
This is important for balance to avoid players specializing in concrete map sizes
Examples:
player 1 wants 10x10
player 2 wants 10x10 or 5x5
then 10x10 is chosen
player 1 wants 20x20
player2 wants 5x5
random size is chosen
You can also choose none or all maps sizes, and it's just random/choose the other player preference then.

@treos I think I just suck at micro, can't repel the enemy scouts killing my eng while managing the base, the battle of 3 tanks near a mex and follow the 1 t1 bomber with my interceptors all at the same time.
Too much anxiety, if the map at least have 2-3 bottleneck or paths that you can control to avoid enemies entering in your zone will be better for me. I always end following the 3 enemy t1 tanks that are killing my eco while fleeing

I hate that type of maps, the winner is the player who rush more tanks or be more dirty with scouts in min 2.
Usually you never get tier 2, and no strategy is involved (at least not the fun strategy). Moreover, if you are low ratting, you are forced to play this maps because that's how the map pool works.
Please add bigger map or map with at least a river or something to the low ratting map pool.

Just draw a game because 1 guy disconnects in minute 1 and the guy in question wins 42 points and I lost 9
don't want to force a 2 vs 3 next time, but it is totally unfair that I lost points because enemy team have 1 disconnect

Yes, The idea is that is only a preference, so the queue time will be the same and no change need to be done in the matchmaking. Only when the map is selected, it has to take in consideration the map size preferences if it's possible (all players want some same map size).
Obviously it would have to be seen how much interest there is in this. Maybe I'm the only one who cares about the size of the map xD

Hi all, I'm a noob (like 500 points silver4) and started to play like a month ago, so don't take me too seriously.
Just lost vs a turtle UEF because he rush turtle and RAS while I play with Seraphim, usually vs a turtle guy i just RAS first after control the map but with Seraphin I can't. Also, mass generator seems worse than RAS and really vulnerable compared with a RAS underwater.
Historically, why Seraphin don't have RAS? Seem a bit unfair.
Also, few tips playing vs a turtle guy as Seraphin will be appreciated.
