The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!

culprit found.
its the emojis mod by azot that somehow disables the chat function after latest update.
this is not a critical ui mod,so ill just remove it.
if others have similair problems,then this prob is why.
