Why don't we have a 20x20 map in 3x3?

Just because a map is good for 4v4 does not mean it’s good for 3v3, it’s not as simple as just closing a slot

Mapgen is generally very bad at creating good 20x20 maps. the maps become very empty with not enough mexes nor reclaim to fight over.

Generally speaking i'd say 80-90% of 4v4 maps are good for 3v3 as well

Seton’s is a poor 3v3 map, funeral plains is a poor 3v3 map, metir isn’t great due to the transport rng involved, and skadi isn’t great unless you have an entire team on the ball understanding what matters.
There also isn’t the biggest pool of satisfactory 4v4 maps either, there’s probably like 35-40 that I’m willing to use for pools and I’d say half of those aren’t great for 3v3

So there are at least 16-20 maps suitable for 3v3

@FtXCommando I think I can choose 30+ maps good for 3x3, add mapgens to them and we'll have a normal pool.
But maybe Sainse is right. And people like to play 3x3 just because of the mappens -
@Skrat I don't think this is true, I've simply recited the response I've got back then. Personally I like 3v3/4v4 not because of mapgen, and would like to see human maps there

@Sainse and I'm sure we can choose a lot of different maps, many people do not think about 10x10 maps, but they are perfect for 3x3 and we have a lot of them in the vault.

I once built a map for 3x3. But it is only 15x15 in size. But maybe it fits into the idea. Unfortunately I'm not a PVP player ^^

I would like to return to this post again. We have a very cool 4x4 map pool this month! But the problem is that it's almost impossible to find a 4x4 game.
