Have an issue re-linking steam account to faf

So I played FAF some time ago (maybe a few years back) and had a blast playing with friends but time passed and I deleted FAF client. But resently I started to play SC:FA again so I decided to go back to FAF. Naturally as one does I forgot my password and went to reset it. But after making a new password on the old account I found out that my nickname has been updated. And when I tried to link with my steam accout it said that it was linked already to account with my old nickname. But I don't remember making an account with any other mail then this one (I'm pretty sure it's the same one). So I'm stuck

Also while making this post I remembered that in the game itself when I wanted to complete SC:FA campaing from scratch I deleted my in-game profile that was "FAF-(old nickname)" and intead made a new profile with this nickname

For anyone in the future who is looking the same issue up and finds this post, you cannot change your steam link account.
