The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!

It's been a damn long time since I've played. Used to do comp stomps with friends. Well I was feeling nostalgic and downloaded SC and FA. No opening movies. Ok, ESCed through them. Tried to do the campaign. Nothing happened, game froze, had to CTRL, ALT, DEL. Ok, disappointing, but not the end of the world. Tried to skirmish. Disabled all the old mods, of which there were MANY. Game loaded! Success!
Can't do anything. I can select my commander. Can't move it, can't build anything, can't reclaim the natural resources.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you had to disable old mods, it stands to reason you have old files and directories laying about. I'd delete the lot and start over fresh.
