      So I'm trying to make a solo game for myself, but every map I select earns me this little error popup.

      I don't mess with the game files, I uninstalled then reinstalled both SupCom and FAF, and I'm still getting this no matter what mission I select. "We are still starting the game for you" doesn't mean anything as nothing ever launches and trying a different mission is blocked because "Can't host a game while in state HOSTING".

      I'm not a computer person, so if you have a fix or suggestion, please keep it simple.

        It appears something is denying access to certain files. This may be an anti virus or another process already having access.

          @jip I both hate and love that this was so simple of a fix... Good call on the anti-virus! Would never have thought that was what was preventing things from working! Quick restart and update was all it took.
