Shift+G still crashes the game?

I selected 60 T2 torpedo bombers, shift-clicked 13 targets (some destroyers and shieldboats) and hit Shift+G... and my game froze. Others told me I eventually timed out and two players on the other team as well.
I thought the Shift+G thing was fixed long ago? If not; can it please be disabled for unstable amounts of units / targets? Nothing sucks as much as it crashing the game.
