FAF Font - style and size changed on me

Greetings all. The text in the client has suddenly shrunk on me, and the font style has definitely changed. The only setting I found is in game prefs "console_font_size", but that did not have an effect. Not sure if this is a windows issue or an app issue. Any info is appreciated.
Edit: the icons in main chat are also missing. Has to be a windows error, but I can not fathom what.

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
