The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!

    • RE: How to setup/use two monitors with the game?

Sorry to necro this, but I had the same issue in Forged Alliance and FAF today 08/29/2025. I have a solution that worked for me. First, I have three screens of different resolution and refresh rate, if you want to use the second screen, and have more than two, first disable the ones you are not going to use. Don't let Windows see more than two screens.

Now for context, in my case the main culprit was the Anti-Aliasing setting. The moment I enabled AA, or if AA was enabled when I selected a second monitor, it would not work. My monitors are different resolution and refresh, I don't know if it has anything to do, but this worked for me 100% of the time. After you make sure only two screens are active follow the steps below:

      1. Start Forged Alliance and disable the non-working, secondary screen.
      2. Set the main display to the correct resolution but set your Fidelity Preset to Low, make sure AA is off. Save and restart FA.
      3. After FA starts with the correct resolution and low Fidelity, enable the secondary display, at a lower resolution and refresh rate than the default settings for the secondary monitor. Save and restart FA.
      4. After restarting and displaying the menu, the secondary screen should work, displaying an FA splash screen. Now carefully adjust set a higher preset and edit your graphic settings if desired, but ALWAYS make sure that Anti-Aliasing is OFF before you click OK. I know the High preset will enable AA, so be careful, if you enable AA by accident at this point and hit OK you will get two white screens, or some other form of failure. Save settings and restart FA.

At this point you can play FA or FAF, as the settings carry over from FA to FAF.

Hope this helps, it worked for me.

    • RE: Engies Clean/Reclaim Mod

@deletethis Yes, it is for offline play only. Where can I find information on how to do this?

    • RE: Engies Clean/Reclaim Mod

@ctrl-k I apologize, but I have no idea what mean. Is that some kind of setting that can be changed?

Is there some .ini or .gameprefs file I can edit to change the behavior of the patrol command that you know of?

    • RE: Engies Clean/Reclaim Mod

@sainserow I guess I should have clarified that this is for Skirmish offline mode. No teammate to donate to, and even then, this would probably not be an option if their mass is full.

Failing that, is there some .ini or .gameprefs file I can edit to change the behavior of the patrol command that you know of?

    • Engies Clean/Reclaim Mod

Hello, I apologize if this has been covered before, but I wonder if there is a mod to add a special reclaim command where engies just reclaim all wreckages, even if your mass storage is full. In the later game state, there is a lot of scrap everywhere. It is ugly to look at and it even blocks the view of my units. I would just like to have engies clean up the map, ignoring the mass storage capacity. If this is achievable in some other way, please let me know.

      Please advise and thanks.
