Client v1.3.0 Upcoming Features

This topic is meant to introduce the new features and updates that are being added to the client for version v1.3.0. As the new PRs are merged they will be added here.

• Vault UI Search Rework https://github.com/FAForever/downlords-faf-client/pull/2044
  This is a rework of the vault search UI to introduce filter based searching. On each vault page a set of filters that include common search parameters can be used to create search queries for the Replay, Map, and Mod Vault. Additionally users can save commonly run queries to repeat searches easily. Currently saved queries will not repopulate the fields but will populate the query and search. As part of this the map, mod, and replays tabs have been elevated to their own main navigation tab. The old search functionality has been preserved under Adv. Search

• Allow coloring users by group https://github.com/FAForever/downlords-faf-client/pull/2028
  This will allow users to set the color of chat groups through a contextmenu on the group category and changes the default color configuration to allow for users to have a group color or user color. User colors will over ride group colors and moderator color will override other group colors.

• Fix map upload POST error https://github.com/FAForever/downlords-faf-client/pull/2042
  This will allow users to upload maps without running into the POST error

• Migrate map and mods reviews across versions https://github.com/FAForever/downlords-faf-client/pull/2055
  This will keep reviews for maps and mods across versions and add a label under the reviews indicating the version they were made on.

• Add Mod rules button and update urls https://github.com/FAForever/downlords-faf-client/pull/2048
  This will update the vault rule links to the current rules forum post

• Expand map description label with text https://github.com/FAForever/downlords-faf-client/pull/2058
  This will expand the description for maps so they are fully visible

• Add map generator log https://github.com/FAForever/downlords-faf-client/pull/2054
  Adds a log for the map generator to help debug issues

• Limit Garbage Collector to single thread https://github.com/FAForever/downlords-faf-client/pull/2057

• Update to javafX 15.0.1 https://github.com/FAForever/downlords-faf-client/pull/2051
  Provides general improvements to the UI processing and usage

• Update to java 15.0.1 https://github.com/FAForever/downlords-faf-client/pull/2052
