      Ever since they tied the range of the dampener to your weapons range, I'm having trouble making good use of it. It requires a substantial investment to get it working, and falls out of favor somewhat quickly. Getting T2 for building and HP is a non-option because the range and effective stun time is not good, in addition to the need to get closer to your target and taking more hits.

      I can still use it defensively, and run from enemy units, but I'm finding that the personal shield is a better
      value.

      Balancing an AoE stun like this is probably an impossible task. Perhaps it could have a 2-stage build cycle like the gun range?

      For those who use it or have it used against them, how?

        I agree it's never great and I never get it basically, but there is a use case in holding a hard point under static shields.
