Cant Link account with Steam

Hi me and my friend recently bought Forged Alliance on steam and went through the steps provided on your site to link our accounts, we both got the same problem, we get the "to many attempts made" pop up, even though its the right info, we tried again the next day and got the same problem. any help would be greatly appreciated.
