Weird connection issue with friends only

Its a weird problem.. I can connect to any custom game but when I host or try to play with my friends who live in the same city as me they can't connect to my game and when they host a game I can't connect to them but they ( the two friends that I play a lot of Forged Alliance with) can connect to each other which tells me its obviously my PC that is the issue.
So after reading through the FAF forums and google searching my problem I have resolved and given into that we can only play together on the Steam matchmaking server but FAForever is a better platform. -
@yellowterra you can try forcing the relay connection in the faf client options. Sometimes Internet providers have weird compatibility issues with each other.
