logging in - more spinning dots of death

hopefully not just me...
the FAF client cannot get past the "logging in" stage.
I guess this may be due to malicious attacks on the FAF infrastructure.
Anyone else in this boat with me?

It has been ongoing since last weekend. It was working yesterday, at least in the evening.
