What if me made some mechanic that would let you potentially not waste any energy? Could just do the same thing and move T2 fabs into T1 with similar 1/something cost, or make e storages cost 1m and a lot of e.

Thoughts?

imho in BAR there are some things that prevent turtle gameplay, and t1 massfabs are not very efficient and require space and they explode...
BAR only has 1mex -> t2 mex -> t3 energy (afus) + massfabs
while in FAF you have t1 mex -> t2 mex -> t2 mex with storage -> t3 mex -> massfabs or sacus
you go from 2 mass per mex point to 27
while in BAR it is only like from 2 to 8
basically what i want to say is that FAF already has plenty of ecoing opportunities and i would not want it to have another somewhat efficient way of ecoing.
Also often FAF maps feel like they have more space, and building explosions feel smaller, while in BAR you have less space and building explosions feel bigger

Edit: You can also make an energy storage
i kinda like cheaper and bigger energy storage in BAR... but in FAF storage space is also tied to overcharge, so making storages cheaper buffs the overcharge, so you can't do that for no reason

Edit: also agree that massfabs in BAR are a big noob trap. Solar+massfab is like 22x less efficient than making mexes

or, don't overbuild power to begin with. you're looking for a way to bail you out of your mistake of overbuilding power, but you should learn to recover from your mistakes instead, and there are plenty options: reclaim t1 power and make t2 mex, make gun acu + OC, or make t2 air

moving mass fabs to t1 is just creating another noob trap

Dare i say it would be funny to see a random game of ZLO trying to push the maximum inefficiency and making it somewhat work on one peg leg xD

Otherwise i agree, it rewards poor economy balance. There are probably mods that have t1 fab you can look into that if you wish.

Sure BAR exists, but you will find that 90% or more dont think its a good game. Personally I have not playing the game and only watched streams / videos so my take isnt the best, but from what I saw I absolutely hate how the economy is set up there.
Its a game more about massfab grids (or whatever they are called there) than map control for more control over mex

Let them be inefficient. I just wanted a deeper aspect to eco management, where a master could play not wasting any energy. Right now it's just "Let it overflow, doesn't matter".
