The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!

I just installed the latest version of FAF (2023_12_1). In general new versions of FAF have worked fine for me over the years however I now get the following error message when I run FAF on my PC.

Try re-downloading the installer and re-installing. It looks like the download may have been corrupted. I just installed 2023.12.1 today on Linux and it worked fine.

I re-downloaded faf_windows-x64_2023_12_1.exe from the FAF website and re-installed it but I get the same error message when I try to launch FAF. The re-install seemed to go okay. I have windows 10 on my PC.

You need to manually delete the install folder before reinstalling

I uninstalled FAF using Windows>Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features
              I manually deleted folder C:/Program Files/FAF Client
              I re-installed FAF from faf_windows-x64_2023_12_1.exe
              FAF then worked fine.
              Thank you for your help.
