Problem starting game on Linux

Hey everyone!

I'm unable to start the game from the FAF client.

I followed the guide for installing the FAF client on Linux, ie java 14, get the run script, and configure the client to point to the run script.

The client itself seems to work fine, I can see the game lobby, chat etc.

Starting the game from Steam works fine.

However when I try to start a game from within the client I can see that there is a blip on Steam, the "Play" button changes to "Stop" for all of 1-2 seconds, and then nothing more.

The FAF client reports:

Any help greatly appreciated.

Found a workaround, forced Steam to use proton 5.09 instead of 5.11 and the game launches

And make sure Steam itself is running

Steam doesn't need to be running to use Proton.

If you copy the Steam shell script then Steam needs to run.
