The current pre-release of the client ("pioneer" in the version) is only compatible to itself. So you can only play with other testers. Please be aware!

Ive been lagging games out for the past couple games and its really frustrating cause i wanna play and i cant. my internet speeds are great. would port fowarding work? if so how would i go about doing that

Port forwarding would not work, as the port is chosen randomly from a wide range. You can try to disable IPv6 to see if it helps. At the moment there are some issues with using IPv6 and we haven't yet discovered why.
